Profile
Biography
An artist from Hokkaido who is currently attending Tokyo Zokei University. He mainly creates works on ceramics, stone powder clay, and paintings, and develops works on the theme of the interiority of natural objects. Taking inspiration from natural shapes and the flow of time, they pursue expressions that engrave “time” in man-made objects using natural patterns such as cells, tree rings, strata, and fingerprints as motifs.
The work reflects the viewpoint that each person has a unique shape, like an island or continent, and is an entity that influences and changes with the surrounding environment. I aim to melt the boundary between nature and humans through my work and provide a new perspective to the viewer so that people and space intersect and overlap over time to form a new layer.
The work contains a wish for people to experience the moment when the boundary between people and art becomes blurred by creating “man-made objects close to natural objects” with time engraved on them. They project a world that is constantly changing, and create works that make you feel yourself changing while being connected and influenced within it.
