Dana Awartani

Awartani engages with the forms, concepts, and spatial constructs that shape Middle Eastern culture and reinterprets them.

Her work is a philosophical elaboration on geometric patterns, which are a traditional element of Islamic art, as an alternative genealogy of abstraction.
