1979年静岡県浜松市生まれ。日常の見慣れた事象に新鮮な切り口を与える作品によって、世界の見方を問いかける活動を続けている。ファスナー、ルーペ、鉛筆など、誰しもが慣れ親しんできた工業製品を独自の視点から捉え直し、水や空気、重力といった自然現象とのつながりを見出す作品を数多く制作している。代表作に《まばたきの葉》、《ファスナーの船》、《空気の人》など。2014年に水戸芸術館、2017年に箱根 彫刻の森美術館にて個展を開催。第1回ロンドン・デザイン・ビエンナーレ2016に日本代表として出展。武蔵野美術大学准教授、東京大学先端科学技術研究センター客員研究員。

1979年静岡県浜松市生まれ。日常の見慣れた事象に新鮮な切り口を与える作品によって、世界の見方を問いかける活動を続けている。ファスナー、ルーペ、鉛筆など、誰しもが慣れ親しんできた工業製品を独自の視点から捉え直し、水や空気、重力といった自然現象とのつながりを見出す作品を数多く制作している。代表作に《まばたきの葉》、《ファスナーの船》、《空気の人》など。2014年に水戸芸術館、2017年に箱根 彫刻の森美術館にて個展を開催。第4回モスクワビエンナーレ出展。第1回ロンドン・デザイン・ビエンナーレ2016に日本代表として出展。2014毎日デザイン賞受賞。武蔵野美術大学空間演出デザイン学科准教授、東京大学先端科学技術研究センター客員研究員。作品集に『まばたきとはばたき』『近所の地球』（青幻舎）がある。
Born in 1979 in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Suzuki continues to question the way we look at the world through his works that offer fresh perspectives on familiar, everyday phenomena. He reinterprets such familiar industrial products as fasteners, loupes, and pencils from a unique perspective, and creates many works that reveal a connection with natural phenomena such as water, air, and gravity. Representative works include "Blinking Leaves", "Zip-Fastener Ship", "Aerial Being".
He represented Japan at the 1st London Design Biennale 2016. He is an associate professor at Musashino Art University and a visiting researcher at The University of Tokyo's Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology.
