西村祐馬

Biography
西村祐馬は1995年生まれ。2018年日本大学芸術学部デザイン学科を卒業。個人の存在を未来まで遺すことをコンセプトに制作を続ける。ケビン・ケリーやレイ・カーツワイルなどの未来学者に影響を受け、人類の進歩とテクノロジーの進化が及ぼすメリットとデメリットを漠然とした未来像から写真を通して日常の光景へと現像する。外身と中身の構造を考察することで、人類がクローンやAIなどによって精神と肉体の関係から解放された次の人類の在り方を観るものに訴える。これまでに「Art Fair Beppu 2023」、「KG+SELECT 2023」ファイナリスト、「TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD 2022」審査員個人賞など、勢力的に作品の発表を続ける。


Yuma Nishimura was born in 1995. He has been creating projects with the idea of leaving one’s existence behind for future discovery as the concept. By considering internal and external structures, he elucidates the ideal state of the next level of humankind, where their physical body and consciousness are no longer connected, due to clones, AI, etc. He has received awards and honors such as being a KG+Select 2023 finalist, and receiving an individual jury award from the TOKYO FRONTLINE PHOTO AWARD 2022. In 2023, along with his participation in the KG+Select 2023 finalist group exhibition, he successfully exhibited his debut solo show, SAVEPOINT at Zen House Gallery (Kyoto, 2023).
