ABANGの作品は、自由と官能の芸術表現を探求する個人的な欲望と願望から始まる。自由な生活は、既存の慣習に挑戦し、「なぜこれが当たり前なのか？」という問いを投げかけることで生まれる。社会から与えられたものとみなされている物や役割に新たな価値や意味を与え、非日常感を伝えることを目指す。官能的な生活」は、自己の内面を臆することなく表現したいという衝動から生まれる。鮮やかな色彩、失敗や未完成の痕跡を分解して再構築するコラージュ、壊れた石膏像を再解釈するプロジェクトなどを通して、彼女は 「全体性だけが価値ではない」、「何事も当たり前であってはならない 」といったメッセージを伝えている。アバンにとって、創造的なプロセスと、見慣れたものを変化させることから生まれる予期せぬ出来事は、彼女の作品に不可欠なものである。彼女は、見慣れた場所や風景を見慣れない方法で体験するよう鑑賞者を誘い、身の回りのあらゆるものが想定された普通であることに疑問を抱かせる。
