ラウス・ルイーズ

　ルイーズ・ラウスは長期日本を拠点に活躍するアーティストであり、版画文化に造詣の深い研究者でもある。浮世絵伝統木版画の巨匠、朝香元晴に師事し、現在は東京藝術大学で版画と分散された帰属意識の接点について研究する博士課程を取得中。版画、デジタルファブリケーション、インスタレーションを用いて作品を制作し、最近ではサイコジオグラフィー、親族、家、デジタルに反射された日常といったテーマについて考察している。

Louise Rouse is an artist and researcher informed by print cultures, based in Japan. She trained with the master ukiyoe woodblock carver Motoharu Asaka, and is currently completing her PhD looking at the intersections of printmaking and distributed belonging at Tokyo University of the Arts. She creates work using printmaking, digital fabrication and installation and is currently contemplating themes of psychogeography, kin, home and the digitally refracted everyday.
