This work uses the technique of sumi-nagashi (marbling), which originated from the recreational activities of the court aristocracy in the late Heian period. It explores the principles of wave movement. Just as waves move forward, retreat, expand, and contract, this piece expresses the interaction of opposing forces that work in harmony, maintaining a balance while circulating.

At the age of 23, I apprenticed under Yoshikazu Fujimoto at the dyeing workshop Fujimoto Dyeing Arts, where I studied the techniques of katazome (stencil dyeing).
Currently, I traverse multiple disciplines, including crafts, fine arts, and antique art, focusing on kimonos and obi. At the intersections of these fields, I engage in creating and presenting innovative works.
