Corners Studio is a Seoul based office for graphic design of Daewoong Kim and Hyojoon Jo founded in 2012. Our practice focuses primarily on creative direction and visual communication strategies through typography, conceptual and content-related approaches. And also we run a risograph printing workshop, Corners Printing, for self-learning and self-experiment.

Voices from the past

Voices from the Past is the second collaboration with Netherlands and Germany-based illustrator Jacco Bunt. It is an illustration of photos and memories taken while traveling from 2019 to 2022.

Rainbow 1

Rainbow is a collaboration between London-based artist and designer Saraboris and Japanese paper company Takeo. Rainbow was produced in two series Rainbow 1 in vivid colors, and Rainbow 2 in neon and pastel colors. Rainbow, composed of seven semicircles on a square cover, suggests a new way to read books.

Pandemic Confessions

Pandemic Confessions is the second collaboration with New York-based artist LILKOOL. This book contains 24 drawings that the author worked at home during the pandemic. We printed in five riso-ink colors, and We finished it by staple bound and gluing it to the cover.

Memory Box

Memory Box is a collaboration work with Kentaro Okawara, who are active between Seoul, London and New York based in Tokyo. During the author's visit to Seoul in 2021, the drawings made with materials such as crayons and gouache were composed of three books, two postcards, and two posters, and put them in one box. The author has numbered and signed each 200 edition.

Colors

Colors is a color chart showing the colors of 29 riso inks used by Corners Printing. You can check the printing difference between the two image modes of Vector/Raster and the 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20%, 10% density difference of each.
