Lay Figure documents almost forty new and recent works by the Canadian-born, US-based artist Sascha Braunig. Exhibited at Oakville Galleries in 2022, the paintings and drawings in this substantial new body of work use material qualities to analogize an immaterial idea: the feeling of struggling with a system more powerful than you, in which you are also deeply entangled. The book includes an essay by curator Frances Loeffler and the transcript of a conversation between Braunig and artist Lucy Kim.

This book brings together a series of 30 photographs by André Cadere (Warsaw, 1934 — Paris, 1978). The photographs, which have never before been published in their entirety, capture the artist’s wanderings through New York City during his first trip in November, 1975. He took with him several round bars of wood, including one of his size, which appears in all the photographs. These images imply the idea of walking and displacement that is always associated with Cadere, who is often considered as a sort of itinerant artist or a parasitic figure who inserted himself into places to which he had not been invited. They also capture the very spirit of New York, a city that is always changing, but that nevertheless always manages to retain its uniqueness.

Météorismes compiles a selection of drawings by Julien Meert started in 2018. WIth an economy of means yet with voluptuous lines, they evoke trivial things: an ass, an intestine, a bloated belly, a testicule, a clitoris, or a hammer of inflated flesh, we do not know exactly... These motifs generate semi-abstract landscapes bathed in a soft light in which one would like to curl up and rest. It is an ode to the desires and organs that command us, an optimistic and humorous prophecy that promises us that there is light at the end of the intestine.
