Takashi Homma Mushroom T-shirt

Photographer Takashi Homma travels deep into the dense forest in search of the different types of fungi that grow there. More of a curious wanderer's collection than a serious enthusiast, Unidentified Mushrooms are photographed against a barren white background with dirt, bark, and even small creatures attached to them as if they had recently been plucked from the forest floor. The fungus portrait is interspersed with images of the forest itself, with moss-covered trees, dense foliage, and natural interplay of shadow and light, as if to provide a natural context (the feeling of actually being there). He didn't film debris or people like the others, instead choosing to photograph forests and mushrooms suffering from radioactive contamination.
