Ritual Drift explores how inherited cultural forms evolve through technical precision, fracture, and experimental processes. Simultaneously inhabiting and departing from expectation or ritual within their respective mediums, Boagey and Ujiie reveal humanity's impulse towards transformation, pushing inherited forms to radically evolve.

Together, the works occupy a space in which familiar images and forms are subjected to processes of continual transformation. Blurring the boundary between artifact and apparition, each work stages its own visual mythology that draws upon and challenges its origins.

'My work is based on the concept of "Biological Chaos Wabi." Through ceramics, I explore unstable, proliferating, and ever-changing states of being. Rather than seeking beauty in completion or perfection, I am interested in the process of becoming—forms that appear to grow, collapse, transform, and regenerate.'
