“Walk on the Wild Side”

I graduated from graduate school this year, and I'm working as a writer without following the established path of getting a job. I left my place called school, and I still don't have a clear idea of where I'm headed from now on. While I have to make my own path from nothing, right now I feel like I'm still searching for the path itself. It's a time of mixed anxiety and anticipation, like walking through the woods and looking for a path where you don't know where it leads.

The title “Walk on the Wild Side” overlaps with who I am now. Take a short break from the designated path and try walking in places you don't know yet. I am continuing my production with that feeling.

In this exhibition, we will be exhibiting works created from my undergraduate days to the present, with a focus on works with animal and nature motifs. In nature, there are no human-made borders or cultural boundaries, and animals live freely in their own places. I myself have created works while searching for my own place without completely belonging to one culture, country, or fixed framework.

I hope people can enjoy the world that unfolds within the work, not as belonging to a specific culture, but as a place where they can walk around freely.
