About the work
This work is part of a series created for the 2021 group exhibition "What Would I Do in That Situation?: The Drawers of Printmaking" (Geidai Art Plaza, Tokyo).
The series unfolds within the setting of a fictional beach resort, where its own narrative gradually emerges.
This particular work depicts a young bellboy employed at the resort's hotel.
A raw egg cannot be cut with a knife. The work uses this impossible act as an allegory for the boy's frustration and immaturity.
