WOW25th Anniversary Project｜Logo Design

WOW25周年を記念し、社内コンペによりロゴを制作。さまざまな個性を持ったメンバーの集合体とその個性が重なり合う様を円で表し、それらが無限（∞）の表現力を生み出すというコンセプトのデザインが選ばれた。

そのロゴをさらに発展させ、社内有志によりロゴムービーを制作。WOWの25年の歩み、集合体もしくは個人としてのWOWを、デザイナーがそれぞれ解釈し、作品を発表した。

We held an in-house competition to create a logo, to commemorate the WOW’s 25th anniversary. The concept on which the design was chosen entailed a circle that represented a group of members each with their own individual personalities. The overlapping of such personalities joins together to create the infinite (∞) power of expression.

To further develop this logo, volunteers within the company created a logo movie. In this movie, each designer provided their own interpretation of the 25 year journey of WOW, either from a group or individual perspective, and presented their works.

Concept

紆余曲折。それぞれの個性が尖り、さまざまなベクトルに走りながらも、それらが集まってWOWを成してきたと思います。一見バラバラに見えるチームも、時に同調し、時に各々走り、そうして大きなビジュアル、うねりとなってまた次のステージへと走っていく。それらをレーザーと鏡を使った、空間のプロトタイプとして表現しました。合わせ鏡を用いることで、屈折したかと思えば鏡像空間では直線的につながっていたりなど、複雑さと面白さをもって、WOWのクリエイティビティの豊かさを表現したつもりです。 – 近藤樹

“Twisting and turning. The individuality of each personality is sharp and runs within various vectors. However, it is my belief that they come together to form WOW. A team that at first look is disparate, may, at different times, run either in sync or individually, but as they push on to the next stage, this becomes one big visual or swell. This was expressed with a spatial prototype using lasers and mirrors. The matching mirrors, which seem to be refracted but are linearly connected in the mirror image space are used to express the richness, as well as the complexity and interesting nature of WOW’s creativity.” —Tatsuki Kondo
