きゅきゅきゅっ、ぼん！

農業をし、人と関わり、絵を描いている。この１、2年で”ここで描いていこう”と思った。もやもやしていたかたまりが、腹に落ちていって、足に力が入った気がした。この場所で描いている。自然に人の手を入れ、生と死が混じり合い、絶妙なバランスをとりながらこの景色はできている。目の前の景色は常に流動している。人もそうだ。柔らかな関わり合いによって表情がかわっていく。私はそんな奇跡的な一瞬を描き留めたい。

I paint, farm, and interact with people.In the past one or two years, I made a decision to paint here.It felt like the vague lump that was stuck, had been digested, and I could stand strong. I paint here.Humans change nature – life and death mix together, and this scenery is composed in a perfect balance. The scenery in front of us is always flowing.Humans also change, by soft interactions with others.I want to paint that miraculous moment.

２０１９年群馬青年ビエンナーレの審査で、赤松さんの作品を初めてみた。他の出品者とまた異なった輝きと軽やかさ、生命力のある絵画で、その年の大賞を受賞された。彼女の描きとめる一瞬が、いつも潔くて気に入っている。会うと人柄も作品に遠からず。農家に嫁いだ生命との生活を、とっても気持ちよくはなしてくれる。コロナ禍のこの暮らし、彼女はどう感じているだろうか。変わりゆく季節、生命との対峙。彼女の近作を紹介したい。

I saw Akamatsu’s work for the first time jurying for the Gunma Biennale for Young Artists 2019. Standing out from the other exhibitors with a vividness and vitality in her paintings, she won the grand prize of that year. I am fond of the purity of the moments that she depicts. Her character is no different from her art. She talks very comfortably about her life in nature after marrying into a farmer’s family. I wonder how she is feeling about live amidst COVID. Changing seasons; confrontation with life. I wish to introduce her recent works.
