“Poetics of Light” Born from Darkness — A Solitary Painter the World Is Watching]
Born in Shizuoka in 1949. We have established a unique technique for drawing “light” using gravity and the natural flow of paint without using a brush at all. This work has a sublime spirituality, as if a philosophical golden light rises from deep darkness. Collected by a Japanese art museum. He is one of Japan's leading abstract painters, praised as “modern alchemy” by collectors around the world. In 2025, he held his first large-scale solo exhibition in Latin America in Mexico, making his evaluation even more unwavering.
来年、78才になる中上清。アメリカのダラスの大学での展覧会が決まりそうです。渡航費の支援をお願い申し上げます。去年はメキシコのMonterreyで個展がありましたが、2泊３日の強行軍でした。もう少しゆっくり滞在し、作品の説明をしたいのです。
