Artist
Born in Nara in 1993, and received a B.A in sculpture from the Department of Fine Arts at Aichi University of the Arts in 2015. Tajima is known for depicting fictional cityscapes with exaggerated perspective and meticulous detail. His work is influenced by urban depictions in classic American sci-fi films and Japanese anime and manga, and travel experiences in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China, fusing the chaos and energy surrounded by the vast amount of information in a city with the underlying sense of loneliness and emptiness. Recent major exhibitions include: Solo exhibition: To the world Different From Yesterday, DH Neology (2024, Tainan); Group exhibition: Sediments Memory, Square Street Gallery (2023, Hong Kong).
