作品詳情
When will we ever learn ?
Kindness and Chaos
Hope and Reality
I created this work because I wanted to depict a world where these conflicting elements exist simultaneously.
Even now, countless lives and daily routines continue to be lost to war across the globe.
Among them are the lives of children who can neither choose their own futures nor live by their own will.
Despite this, the world carries on with its unchanging daily life.
In the withered flowers held in hand, I see the lives already lost and the time that will never return.
What lies there is not simple despair.
It is the feeling of staring directly at what has been lost, while still continuing to ask, "Can the future be changed?"
"When will we ever learn?"
That question is not meant to blame anyone, but is directed toward the future ahead.
A world where children do not lose their lives to war.
A world where they can sleep, laugh, and live in peace rather than fear.
I created this work with that will for such a future in mind.
The 20% of the proceeds will be contributed to
the international NGO , ADRA JAPAN which supports
“Where Have All the Flowers Gone? ” I made it while listening to music by Pete Seeger.
