近所にどぶを見つけ、のぞき込むと、そこにはオールフリーの白い空き缶や、ビニール袋のようなもの、藻などが浮いていました。見ている間、一瞬だけ、光が上から差してきました。すると、浮いていたごみや水面が、とてもうつくしく見えました。私はそこから強烈なインスピレーションを受け、必ず作品として昇華させたい、と強く感じました。
また、きれいな色を選択して絵を描いていくこともいいですが、一般的にきれいと言い難い色の絵具を使って、うつくしい作品を描きたいと考え、制作した作品です。

I mainly produce oil paintings. I want to explore free ways of expression and make new discoveries. I get inspiration for my work from things that catch my eye in my life. It seems that what kind of motifs are used for the work is not very important. Even if I'm looking at the shape or color of what I want to draw next to me, when I draw on the canvas, I don't look at things as objects, but I draw by converting motifs into lines, colors, etc. with my senses. I'm borrowing an image from something, but there's a feeling that I'm showing it from a place I can't see. Places I've never been I get there while painting.
