It depicts the ephemerality of life and its preciousness.

An iconic heart motif, large caudal fin, and a profile looking in one direction.
Where are they actually headed while floating softly?

Horses with caudal fins on half of their bodies were born bearing our fate regardless of our own intentions.

It doesn't matter; from the moment life sprouts, time continues to flow incessantly, leading us to one place.

Life, time, life and death.

I've been thinking deeply about these themes in recent years.

What I feel through my thoughts and creations is that death is never the end.

If you look at each life as a “form of existence,” it seems that it is connected to the next new life on a cosmic scale.

Death is not the end; it is the beginning of life.

If I were to believe that, even if this body were to perish, I would be able to meet again somewhere.

With hope and prayers.

It will probably continue to live forever as part of the universe.

In collage works, the moment each material is cut out of the original photograph, it loses its original meaning and context, and is completely separated from its meaning of existence.

Furthermore, after editing, such as changing the color tone and combining it with different elements to give a sense of scale that is impossible in reality, it is reborn as a completely new entity.

This work combines materials taken by oneself with materials generated by AI.

As described in Biography, AI is simply used only at the material generation stage, and all editing and synthesis are done by the artist himself.

For example, in the heart motif, a heart made of glass or a heart with a ceramic texture is generated by AI, and these are synthesized with Photoshop.

Photographs of corals, sea anemones, buds, and stamens that have been taken in everyday life for years are sometimes fused with materials generated by AI over time, and I find it interesting in the production landscape that continues to change with the times.

Smartphones are used for shooting, and edits such as cropping, color adjustment, texture expression, and compositing are performed in Photoshop. Above all, what we are most particular about is cutting out work. The details are passed down to the extent that automatic processing is impossible, and the outline is carefully cut out. I use digital tools, and I am proud that the work is close to craftsmanship.

This work is textile conscious and has a repeat pattern as the framework.
Since it's called Fragment, it was created with a composition specially selected by the artist himself.
There is a possibility that it will be developed into fabric or wallpaper in the future, but the colors, detailed reproducibility, specifications, etc. are completely different, so I hope you enjoy the presence of Giclee as an art work unique to Giclee.
