Saito himself decorated the existing frame, and the frame is also part of the work.
When foil is used as a background, an expressive painting space is created there.
Clean light in the morning, dry light in summer, and even the faint flow of wind.
How good would it be if such a momentary scene of nature could be fixed on a screen?
I am creating it with that in mind.
This time, I wanted to express time piling up with the rich expression of gold leaf.

Nozomi Saito’s works skillfully utilize tempera and acrylic paints over gold leaf, vividly depicting realistic plants that seem to come to life. The plants are imbued with new vitality, glowing within the radiance of the gold leaf.
The plaster and gold leaf applied to the wooden panels may initially create a strong impression. However, the meticulously rendered plants soften the overall image, and the rounded forms gently envelop the composition.
