SUCHSIZE

Established in Osaka City in 2024, SUCHSIZE is an art lab that invites artists who decipher non-verbalizable phenomena through abstract and conceptual lenses to host exhibitions, talk events, and research workshops. Under the theme of "Art and the Practices Inherent in the Circulation of Nature and Society," we explore the relationship between contemporary art and the cultural arts, customs, and spiritual beliefs nurtured within the natural features of Asia, with a particular focus on Japan. Our mission is to research and translate the realms that are difficult to contextualize within existing art history frameworks. Furthermore, to share our findings with a global audience, we produce a unique online catalog for each exhibition, featuring critical essays and interviews.Through these endeavors, we continually question the universal role that contemporary art should play in society.
