平安時代に絶世の美女と言われた小野小町が晩年容姿の衰えを長雨の後に散った花に例えた。歌人として活躍した彼女が何故それほど容姿にこだわったのか。

私が生まれた 1985 年に男女雇用機会均等法が施行されたが、現在でも男性中心の社会は根強く続いている。女性の社会での価値とは何なのか。不平等な社会はまだまだ変わらなさそうだ。
