Graduated from section of illustration, faculty of design, Kyoto Seika University. He mainly produces paintings and also exhibits his work, provides artworks and produces murals. He’s trying to create the work that let him find himself by doing simple and small actions. 風景画、風景写真や、例えば実際に高所から見下ろした俯瞰の風景など、〈風景〉というものを想像した時にはこのような情景を思い浮かべると思う。 人が自分の見ている視界は現実であるということを肯定した上で、これまで得た知識によって視界を理解し、認識した時に初めて風景は存在する。 私の絵にモチーフはなく、〝色や形の配置とそれ以外の空間〟により構成されている。 人が風景として認識する前から存在する〈無形の風景〉を私たちが見ることは決して叶わないが、小さな要素により構成された画面は、その風景へとつながっているのではないか。私たちが個別にもつ言葉を超えた視界に映る万物のイメージが、そこには立ち現れるのではないだろうか。 僕が描いているのはこれまでに見た風景のイメージを摘み取ったものだろう。 風景ではあるが、そのフォーカスの度合いは鑑賞者によるところである。 風景の中にある一つのオブジェクトにフォーカスするのであれば、それはモノになる。 ただ重要なのは、その先に続くのはまた風景だということだ。 Landscape paintings, landscape photographs, and a bird's-eye view from a high place etc...when you imagine a , you think of it as a scene. Landscapes exsist only when one affirms that the field of vision that one is seeing is real, and then understands and recognizes the field of vision with the knowledge learned in life. There is no motif in my paintings. They are composed of the arrangement of colors and shapes, and the space. We can never see the "intangible landscape" that existed before we recognized it as a landscape, but I think that the screen created by small elements are connected to that landscape. The image of all things reflected in the view beyond the words we individually have may appear there. What I draw is a collection of past landscapes, which extracts some image of a huge landscape. So it's a landscape, but the degree of focus depends on the viewer. If you focus on an object in the landscape, it's a thing. But the important thing is that what follows next is the landscape again.
