1984年 東京生まれ 2017年 東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科彫刻専攻修了 全体性を主軸に、生物、無生物を問わず、その個に携わる身体の境界といったものに焦点を当てて制作。 個々から成り立つ全体性のイメージを反復させ、自己と他者の交わる接点をある時は融解させ、ある時は断絶させることで核心のない並列的な広がりにする事を目的としている。 Centered on the idea of wholeness, Shiori Watanabe’s work focuses on the physical boundaries of individual beings, whether organic or inorganic. Her works reiterate the idea of wholeness created by each individual component, at times melting the contact point between the self and the other, and in other instances, completely severing those points to create decentralized, parallel growth.
