オレチョシリーズの背景には曲線の中に三角形が入ったものが描かれるものがあります。

これは自転車のギヤのシフトチェンジからヒントを得たパワーアップのイメージで「ココロドライブ」と名付けています。

この作品以前のオレチョシリーズは11個目までが描かれていました。

作品タイトルにある12番目というのは三角形が12個で六芒星の形になり、このパワーアップイメージの最終段階です。

この作品では自己の内面を掘り進んだ先で、別の次元で同じように進んできたオレチョに出会ったという場面を描いています。

制作当時、自分がたとえ別の道を選んで歩んでいたとしても、根本はそんなに変わらないんじゃないかと考えていたことを絵にした一枚です。

時に細部に細部へと意識が行ってしまうことがあります。

しかし、大事な深い部分に立ち返って考えると、手段や方法はそんなに問題ではなく、もっと変幻自在でよいのではないか？という考えに至るキッカケになった作品でもあります。

「オレチョ」は複数の作品シリーズをシンボル化、融合させることで誕生したオリジナルキャラクター。

作家の自己を投影した表現者として度々作品に登場している。

名前の由来は"己"を"超"えるより。

"Orecho" is an original character created by combining symbolic elements from my artwork some series.

He often appears in the pieces as an expression of the artist's own thinking projected.

The origin of the name comes from "I want always overcome myself". In Japanese mean Ore=myself, cho=overcome.
