主な近年の展覧会に、個展「1900 – 2025 : souffle de lumière」(ル・クレジオギャラリー、パリ、フランス、2025)、個展「宮永愛子　詩を包む」（富山市ガラス美術館、2023）、「神戸六甲ミーツ・アート2024beyond」(風の教会、兵庫、2024)、「日本現代美術私観：高橋龍太郎コレクション」（東京都現代美術館、2024)、「ワールド・クラスルーム：現代アートの国語・算数・理科・社会」（森美術館、東京、2023）等。第70回芸術選奨文部科学大臣新人賞受賞（2020）。 Aiko Miyanaga was born in 1974 in Kyoto, Japan, where she is currently based. She received her MA in Intermedia Art from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2008. Miyanaga is known for her sculptures of everyday objects cast in naphthalene, as well as installations employing materials such as salt, leaf veins, and the sound of glaze cracking on freshly fired ceramics. She visualizes time by tracing signs of its presence and expresses the idea that, “the world continues to exist through constant change.” Recent exhibitions include the solo show 1900 – 2025 : souffle de lumière (Le Clézio Gallery, Paris, 2025), the solo show MIYANAGA Aiko -Wrapping a verse (Toyama Glass Art Museum, 2023), KOBE ROKKO MEETS ART 2024 beyond (Chapel of the Wind, Hyogo, 2024), A Personal View of Japanese Contemporary Art: Takahashi Ryutaro Collection (Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, 2024) and WORLD CLASSROOM: Contemporary Art through School Subjects (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, 2023) among others. She received the 70th Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Art Encouragement Prize for New Artists (Fine Art) in 2020.
