Moving from a dark situation to hope
The method is similar to other Fujimoto's works, and then created by laminating and grinding acrylic paint after base treatment on plywood.
The production flow is to create full-scale line drawings on tracing paper separate from the screen.
Then, I plan the layer structure of the colors to be applied over and over, but I choose colors that I feel are good in terms of painting, regardless of the unique colors of the motifs.
Once the plan has been decided to some extent in terms of line and color, the line drawing on the tracing paper is transferred onto the panel and the main picture production begins.
The panel to be used is glued on both sides. Ground paint all over the screen, sides, and back. The same color as the background color of the screen has also been applied over the sides.
On the screen, after preparation with an undercoat and a sharpener that crushes the wood grain, 20 or more layers of paint are applied as depictions, all parts and solids are repeated, and grinding with water-resistant sandpaper is applied while applying water.
By repeatedly scraping and monitoring the screen, a screen that seems complete appears.
The screen and sides of the work are smooth matières, so you can wipe clean the work with a dish towel or the like.
The back side of the work is also painted with acrylic paint after the panel is applied to increase the durability of the work. Display straps are attached.

The title “glory” does not mean “glory,” such as becoming famous in the world or gaining power.
It is a “calm and self-contained state” that can be obtained by introspecting and digging deeper into oneself while facing various hardships.

Painting as a phenomenon.
We are exploring the possibilities of painting using a method of generating a screen by laminating and grinding acrylic paint.
There are variations in screen styles, from those with objects to those without objects, and all works have common colors and mattieres.
Born in Hyogo. He has lived in Okinawa since 1997. Until now, he has presented his works at solo and group exhibitions inside and outside the prefecture.
