《記憶について》

私は油彩の技法を用いて記憶をテーマに絵を描いています。

記憶とは、個々の頭の中に浮かぶ思い出や、経験した事などの集合体のようなものを示しています。そんな記憶は整理整頓されているのでしょうか？残念ながら、それを確認することはできません。なぜなら、記憶がどうなっているのか確かめることができないからです。私はそのような記憶の“確かにあるけれど、確かめることができない矛盾するような性質”に興味を持っています。

《制作意図》

この作品は「視線」を題材にしています。月を見ている時に、自分は月を見上げているのか見下ろしているのか曖昧な感覚が押し寄せてきました。線で絵を描く時にどうしてもパースやパーツの関係で立体的に描いてしまうのですが、それらを見上げたり見下ろしたりする視線の角度を意識して描いています。
