木彫/樟
ステートメント
骨のような線の連なり。肉のような絵の具。血の温もりが、まるで動いているかのように、無数の時間軸の中でためらいもなく同居する。
これらは人であって人ではない何かのようである。
3人に共通しているのは、アニメや漫画といった人工的な自然に触れ、輪郭を見出し、表現を行っているという点である。
簡略化された表現の中では、容姿や正確な骨格などは重要視されておらず、大きな流れに身を委ねるかのような心地よさに支配される。
それぞれの作品は、過去と現在、内側と外側を行き来しながら、新しいまなざしを待っているかのようである。
私たちが身を置く世界のスケールは刻々と変化し、その速度は日に日に早くなっていく。
本展は、3人の作家が表現した身体の軌跡を一つの空間で交差させ、それぞれに異なるバラバラのタイムラインが作用し合う瞬間を捉える試みである。
