About the work
This work was created to coincide with the 16th Geidai Art Plaza Grand Prize Exhibition in 2022. It depicts two people, neither friends nor lovers, spending a quiet and peaceful Christmas. It's hard to see if it's an image, but white plates are layered and gold leaf is applied to create a gorgeous one-of-a-kind item.

Born in Tokyo in 1997. M.F.A. in Printmaking, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts.
Her practice centers on lithography, exploring feminism and interpersonal relationships. In recent years, she has expanded into drawing and comics, investigating new narrative possibilities across different forms of expression.
