The Traveling Cat Series

In this series, AI is given prompts to present designs,

I chose them myself from among them and created them using the process of copying and finishing by hand.

Cats are used as iconic motifs, and they are displayed against the backdrop of memories and landscapes of the countries on display.

As human sensitivities and AI's editorial perspectives intersect,

Each one contains a new story as a “trace of collaboration.”

🐾 Work description

A temple and a cat that melts in the sky in Georgia

― AI Prompt and Me Series ―

This series is about the modern age where coexistence with AI is progressing,

How do “human thought” and “AI generation” collaborate,

This is an art project that visualizes whether it will shape new creativity.

AI doesn't have good instructions (prompts)

It can't produce good results.

Human judgment, intention, and verbalization always intervene there,

“Collaborative work” is born through repeated dialogues with AI.

In this work, starting from designs generated by AI under set conditions,

IROKA reproduced it by hand,

It has been reconstructed by adding color, line, texture, and interpretation.

This is a picture of an old temple in Georgia reconstructed with minimal lines and colors.

Starting from an image generated by giving AI the conditions of “exhibiting country” and “cat,”

I'm tracing that shape by hand and reinterpreting it while redrawing lines, colors, and textures.

In the modern age where AI has penetrated everyday life,

AI is not a threat to human creativity,

Rather, they could be “partners who look at the world together.”

I'm quietly exploring that question through the scenery and cats of my travel destination.

22.7 x 27.3 cm

The possibilities drawn by AI are sublimated into works by human hands --

That process is at the heart of this series.

Another motif work in the series will be released in 2025/10

It was selected for the Saatchi Art Japan Collection and received international acclaim.

The “Traveling Cat Series” goes beyond size,

It is a group of works that talk about memories, symbols, and landscapes through the appearance of cats traveling.

---

“The story and symbolism condensed into a small size

It's a piece that starts a dialogue with the viewer's memory.

Ultramodern Artist

In 2018, she encountered henna art while volunteering at an Indian cultural event held in Japan. Tintricate patterns drawn on arms and hands captivated her, and tracing them with a brush pen led to the emergence of her signature style—delicate yet bold lines. This marked the beginning of her artistic journey, which formally began in 2019.

Without formal art education, she developed a free-spirited approach, exhibiting works both domestically and internationally. In 2021, she received the Hermès International Grand Prize and a national art award. Her 1st solo exhibition was held in 2022, followed by a major show at Daimaru Tenjin in 2024.

In 2025, she presented her first installation themed “Borderless Without travel,” inviting viewers to experience invisible crossings through spatial composition.
