I was less likely to touch the soil barefoot, and I felt lonely as if I was cut off from nature. By drawing with soil, I felt the comfort of walking on the soil. I drew mice crawling on the ground because I thought they might be seeing a world invisible to humans.

Pigments were made from collected soil, and painted on hemp bags discarded at local bean sprouts factories using classical techniques such as fresco and tempera.
