However, during the stay-at-home period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, I took the opportunity to reevaluate my career and resumed painting. Combining my experience as a designer with the academic painting techniques I learned in university, I create artworks that seamlessly blend digital and analog methods. When considering what to paint, I had the idea to turn the accumulation of the fundamental act of "drawing lines and erasing them" into artworks. Therefore, I used my familiarity with pen tablets and Photoshop from my design work to create digital drawings. Through repeated drawing, I realized that what attracts me in painting is the interaction of colors overlapping each other. Drawing inspiration from Joseph Albers' book "Interaction of Color," I explore the reconstruction of paintings by utilizing the effects of color overlaps and placements, crossing digital and analog methods.
