"The Inner and Outer Zones"
The Japanese archipelago is divided by the Median Tectonic Line, which extends from central Nagano Prefecture to western Ehime Prefecture, separating the Inner Zone on the Sea of Japan side from the Outer Zone on the Pacific side. Rocks and strata of different properties and ages lie alongside one another across this boundary.
Since around 2024, I have been photographing sites where faults are exposed and collecting rocks from these locations. Through the spaces between surfaces, I seek to observe flows of time and geological processes that cannot be fully grasped at a human scale, turning my attention toward the forces and movements that operate on an Earth-wide scale.

2000年青森生まれ。発掘・追跡・記録といった探索行為を起点に、収集した手がかり同士の結びつきを見出し、途切れることのない実感を獲得することをテーマに活動。2025年度石橋財団国際交流油画奨学生としてタイ・カンボジアに滞在し、リサーチおよび制作を実施。近年は、REAL TIME IN KIRYU 2025(群馬県桐生市)、天空の芸術祭 2025(長野県東御市)など、各地でのリサーチプロジェクトや芸術祭に参加している。
