Work Details
"Plate in Passage"
In this work, I treat both the changing arrangements and appearances of everyday objects on a tabletop such as dishes and the silkscreen images recomposed within the movable range of the support structure as plates in passage.
The ink that once must have formed a coherent image as it passed through the screen is then dismantled by the fixed support, and, under a newly defined field of mobility, continues to negotiate its intervals and distances.

painter
Through a process of screen-printing paint onto wooden panel structures constructed in woodwork, whose components can be slid or interchanged, he approaches painting not as a "finished image" but as a state in which paint and support are only temporarily fixed in a given arrangement. By attending to the presence of paintings in which provisional structures and traces of ink coexist, he investigates what might be called the"conditions of painting."
