ANOMALY

Three galleries, “Yamamoto Gendai,” “URANO,” and “Hashimoto Art Office,” which have a career of over 10 years, united and opened in 2018/11. It is easy for artists to take on challenges, and there are flexible gallery spaces where talk sessions and performances can be developed in addition to exhibitions, and “places” such as offices and lounges where various people can easily enter, leave, and stay for each project.

The handling artists are Noe Aoki, Yusuke Asai, Chim↑Pom from Smappa!Group, Chu Enoki, Ishu Han, Kei Imazu, Takahiro Iwasaki, Yoshiaki Kaihatsu, Toshiyuki Konishi, Ushio Shinohara, Tadasu Takamine, Takuro Tamayama, Tiger Tateishi, Miyuki Tsugami, Yukinori Yanagi, Yuichi Yokoyama, etc. The gallery name “ANOMALY (anomaly)” is taken from words describing events, individuals, anomalies, and deviations that cannot be explained by orthodoxy or common sense.
